I write and perform observational character and situation comedy for live performance and video.
Studying a creative degree in Dance and Visual Art (at The University Of Brighton 2002-2005), allowed me to experiment with my emerging passion for writing, performing and devising comedy. During my degree I made several comedy video sketches, one women shows and won first prize for Brighton Festival's 2004 "Window Dressing" competition (Taking a comedy slant on the competitions title getting dressed and undressed in a shop window and nearly getting arrested for it!). Which gave me the impetus to pursue a career in comedy.
I perform regularly in various comedy sketch nights on the London comedy circuit and presented solo shows at a variety of comedy theatres: The Etcetera Theatre, The Hen and Chickens Theatre, The BAC Theatre, The Nightingale Theatre (Brighton) and performed at Edinburgh Festival 2007 with my one women show: "Miss Behaviour" (as part of PBH'S Free Fringe) and at The Camden Festival 2008 with my one women show: "Iona Dudley-Ward's a bit of a character". Redeveloped and performed for the Edinburgh Fest 2009.
Currently writing and performing new work for live performance and video, with a view to produce work for television. Click on gigs for info on forthcoming gigs or click on videos to see my funny bits.
